Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s Horses Are Getting a New House

Earlier this week, DeGeneres confirmed she and de Rossi had made their move to the U.K. permanent, following Donald Trump’s reelection. Now, they’re moving to even greener pastures. According to The Wall Street Journal, the couple is selling their 43-acre Cotswolds estate, which they bought last spring for about $20 million. After an “extensive renovation,” per WSJ, they’ve listed the house for $30 million. So, where to next? Apparently, DeGeneres and de Rossi have already moved into a new, even bigger home nearby, which the listing agent described as looking like it belongs “in Malibu.” DeGeneres told the outlet they “needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them” because “Portia couldn’t live without her horses.” Who could?! On Sunday, DeGeneres gave her first interview since moving across the pond, in which she told British TV presenter Richard Bacon that “everything here is just better.” It sounds like they’re really living the English pastoral fantasy — in addition to de Rossi’s horses, DeGeneres said she has chickens and they “had sheep for about two weeks.” “It’s just a simpler way of life,” DeGeneres said of life on their multimillion-dollar countryside estate.
