PowerWash Simulator Has Two Key Problems The Sequel Needs To Fix
I absolutely adore PowerWash Simulator. I’ve adored it for three years now. It’s the console game I keep coming back to; curling up on the couch, putting on a podcast, and cleaning the muck off an ice rink or UFO. It got me through a horrible bout of covid, it offers me comfort when I’m feeling down, and it keeps… Read more...

Did Shrek Get a Nose Job?
Photo: Entertainment Access/Youtube Shrek might live in Far Far Away, but he looks like he just came back from somewhere even Farther Away: Turkey. In a newly released trailer for the highly anticipated Shrek 5, Shrek, Fiona, and their daughter (voiced by Zendaya), and Donkey all gather to scroll through ogre-thirst-trap memes with mister Mirror Mirror on the Wall. There’s no time to discuss how on the nose this is, because Shrek and Fiona have visibly undergone radical, off-putting facial reconstruction. I don’t care that these ogres are a mere amalgamation of zeros and ones inside some DreamWorks animator’s computer. This is serious. Donkey somehow looks the same level of goofy as before, but Shrek’s and Fiona’s new faces are … jarring. Their noses are shaped differently, their philtrums are less pronounced and longer, their lips and smiles curve in odd ways, and both of them have seemingly larger eyes. It’s like they both got processed through Alix Earle’s favorite TikTok smoothing filter, or as one user on X wrote: “rhinoplasty, lip filler, cheek implants, jaw shave, chin reduction, face lift, blepharoplasty, buccal fat removal, botox, eye lift, cheek filler.” rhinoplasty, lip filler, cheek implants, jaw shave, chin reduction, face lift, blepharoplasty, buccal fat removal, botox, eye lift, cheek filler pic.twitter.com/JhZSIrYl8D — yasmin (@ycsm1n) February 27, 2025 Animation aficionados are telling us this was inevitable — that Shrek’s look is “outdated.” But I think the studio could have given us more pixels per inch without making the whole family look like they need third-revision rhinoplasties. I'm going to gently hold everyone by the hand while I say that the original Shrek films, while amazing for their time, kind of look like ass in a modern context and some kind of redesign was going to happen no matter what https://t.co/r1iZ7TIfvF — charlie g - boxtown ✨(link in bio) (@charliepgavin) February 27, 2025 Maybe it’s the era we’re living in. Changing your face is the norm and everyone, including animated characters, are gunning for tweakments or “facial harmonizing.” A little filler here, a little Botox there, maybe a stitch or two if need be. The movie isn’t set to release until 2026, so there is still time to bully the studio into a redesign à la Sonic the Hedgehog. Everyone contact your local fairy godmother. First Teaser: Zendaya Joins Returning Cast Members Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz & Eddie Murphy For ‘Shrek 5’
There’s an all-new ogre in the upcoming iteration of the beloved Shrek franchise. Source: Taylor Hill / Getty Universal Pictures shared a new teaser on Thursday, Feb. 27, which confirms Zendaya is joining the voice cast of Shrek 5. So far, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star is the only new addition to the cast, which also includes returning stars Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy. “Far, Far Away’s finest are coming,” the studio wrote in their caption to the video on Instagram. The short clip features Donkey asking the magic mirror who the fairest of them all is, all while Shrek, Fiona, and Zendaya’s new character–revealed to be their daughter–watch on. Pinocchio also makes an appearance to tell a lie that causes his nose to grow. While this role might come as a surprise to fans, it seems like it’s been a long time coming for Zendaya, who has been a vocal fan of Shrek over the years. Back in 2017, the Emmy-winner tweeted, “I watch Shrek too often in my adulthood.” Following news of her casting, the official account for Shrek shared that post and wrote, “This aged well.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by DreamWorks Shrek (@shrek) The first Shrek film hit theaters in 2001, going on to win an Oscar for Best Animated Film. Last year, she starred in Challengers and Dune: Part Two, both of which were a huge departure from her time as a Disney Channel star. Now, she’s adding animation to the mix, her first since voicing the infamous Lola Bunny in Space Jam: A New Legacy back in 2021. Zendaya Will Star in SHREK 5 as Shrek’s Daughter
Last year, Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri hinted that Shrek 5 could be coming our way with its original voice actors reprising their roles. Now, we know that Shrek 5 is officially happening, with Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, and Cameron Diaz returning as Donkey, Shrek, and Fiona, respectively. And there’s even a release date for Shrek 5, which was originally July 1, 2026 but is now pushed back to December 23, 2026. The film is in its early stages of development and, as Murphy previously said, a Donkey spinoff will happen sometime soon. But its latest news is some of the most exciting yet, Zendaya will be coming aboard Shrek 5. Zendaya Joins Shrek 5 as Shrek’s Daughter Shrek already has a star-studded cast, but a new Shrek movie means a new star for a new generation of viewers. And it doesn’t get any shinier than Zendaya, who is officially joining Shrek 5. Zendaya will play Shrek’s daughter in the movie. We still don’t know what Shrek 5 is about, but it looks like Shrek being a girl dad will definitely feature in the mix. Dreamworks Shrek 5’s Teaser Trailer Dreamworks Animation released a short announcement teaser (with the original date) to get fans excited about the upcoming sequel. We love the use of Smash Mouth’s “All Star,” which was prominently featured in the original Shrek film in 2001.
